About the role
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to join our growing technology team. This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead technical initiatives, mentor developers and drive architectural decisions in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of robust, scalable applications
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices
- Drive technology innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in architectural decisions and technology selection
Required qualifications & experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- Solid experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or similar)
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable applications
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
Preferred qualifications
- Financial services or fintech experience is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
Leadership & soft skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers
